“When you travel lightly, you’re freer, less burdened, less tired. This applies to life, not just travel.” Leo Babauta
Hi! I’m Sagar Satyal and a ride an old scooter.
I’m a writer, educator, and a podcaster. I’m passionate about helping people express themselves better and for them to lead intensional and meaningful lives.
I have been blogging for the past 2.5 years about my own experiences with the intension of helping people on a similar path. Your love and support encouraged me to write more regularly and hence, in October 2016, guided by my life philosophy “Create more, consume less”, I mustered the courage to launch this website.
Having lived on auto-pilot mode for a good part of 22 years, some life changing experiences led to me reflect deeply within and try to make sense of what then seemed to be a distorted, shattered view of the world. But two years on, the road to self-discovery has been tremendously rewarding. For someone who was angry and anxious all the time, I’ve gradually learnt to breathe with a sense of calm and stay present a lot more than I could have possibly imagined.
I believe we all have a true self that for some reasons we tend to put away. Only when we try to find who we really are, our journey toward real happiness begins. And for this to happen, it is imperative that we start living in the present and paying attention to the smaller details that often go unnoticed in the daily rush of proceedings.
I sincerely hope that you’ll be able to find value in the content of this website and start your own mindful journey.
http://www.themindfulnepali.com is sponsored by my dearest friend Ajar Satyal and I was lucky enough to have my buddy Animesh Shrestha design the site’s logo for me. For sleek designs and branding ideas, he’s the go to guy!
