The volume of grey hair on my head seems to be compounding.
I spent some time in the last couple of days trying to trim the longest ones but it got tiring after a point because of the sheer volume.
‘Grey hair is better than no hair’ is what I remind myself. Looking past the obvious disappointment, this compounding of grey hair also serves an important purpose. It reminds me that my time is limited, life’s fickle and that the clock is ticking.
My increasing vigilance of my grey hair isn’t going to serve any purpose if all it manages to do is to pull me into a dark pit of insecurities.
Let the grey hair on my head remind me of what truly matters; to be intentional with my choices and purposeful with my actions.
As the stoics would say, Memento Mori: remember you will die.
