It was a long overdue catch up with a good old friend. As customary with such occasions, we got to talking about how things used to be, how they are shaping up, and what the future may hold for us.
“Do you sometimes feel that you matured too early?”
These words were coming from a pal who could say anything to me resting on the safe bet that I wouldn’t take his words negatively. “I may be wrong to judge, but because I feel that you are living your mid 20s with the realizations people usually have in their 30s, do you sometimes regret not living your age?” he asked.
I smiled feeling safe about my life and the choices I have made. I told him that I understood where he was coming from, but the same equation, if looked at differently, would tell the tale of a person who wasted around 10 years to finally figure who he was and what he wanted from a brief spell on earth.
